Babysitter's Training | Dance | Martial Arts | SportsParents' Night Out 

American Red Cross Babysitter's Training

Ages 10-14
Time: 3:15-7:00pm

Babysitting is an important job. You need life and safety skills to take care of and protect children. In the American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training course, you will learn basic care giving, how to make good decisions, accident prevention and age appropriate play. The course is fun and fast-paced with hands-on activities, exciting video and lively discussions. You’ll learn to be the best babysitter on the block. Plus, you’ll gain the confidence to make smart decisions and stay safe in any babysitting situation. Impress parents by earning your Babysitter’s Training certificate! Please bring a pen/pencil, note paper, and snack to class. Course fee includes American Red Cross Babysitter’s handbook and certificate.

Dance Classes

Love2Dance Hip Hop

Learn how to bust some moves and shake your tail feather with this fun new class taught by Love2Dance studio! Hip Hop encompasses many different urban dance styles such as poppin', locking, breaking, as well as freestyle movement to give students the opportunity to develop their own sense of style. Our Hip Hop classes teach rhythm, coordination, musicality, and choreography. Love2Dance is a positive upbeat dance studio that is open to all ages and levels regardless of experience. The only requirements are passion for music and movement and desire for self improvement.

Intro to Ballet and Pre-Ballet at Marin Dance Theatre

These classes begin to introduce the dancer to ballet positions, and beginning technique. The dancers will begin barre work, centre work, and continue fantasy exercises as well. They will begin to work with music and combining exercises, combinations and musicality to their classes. This class is located at Marin Dance Theatre, One St. Vincents Drive.

Please wear ballet slippers, pale pink short sleeve leotard with no skirt attached (for girls) with long hair pulled back, shorts (for boys). These are drop-off classes. Parents can observe the last class of each session.

Irish Dance

Ages 5 and Up

Award-winning dance instruction for children and adults. Irish reels, jigs, and folk dances for fun and competition. Annie McBride has been teaching since 1960. Note: Monthly tuition is payable on the 1st week of each month. Students are exptected to pay the full monthly fee, regardless of missed classes. Martial Arts

Tae Kwon Do

Beginning I: Ages 5-7
Beginning II: Ages 8-12
Advanced: Ages 8-15

Your child will learn to defend themselves, gain self-confidence, and increase mental concentration. This program is designed to develop motor skills, balance, and self-discipline. Both boys and girls are encouraged to experience this fun and confidence building program. This is a non-competitive curriculum. The instructor will announce belt testing dates and an optional TKD uniform may be purchased through the instructor. Students not purchasing a uniform should wear loose fitting clothing that they can move around in easily. The class ratio has been lowered to accommodate the young age of participants. Start building self-esteem and confidence today! Advanced class must have instructor approval.

Capoeira (pronounced ka-poo-eyh-da) is an AFRO-Brazilian martial art form that incorporated acrobatics, dance, percussion and songs in a rhythmic dialogue of body, mind and spirit. It is a communal game in which two opponents play each other inside a circle, formed by other players who create rhythm for the game by clapping, singing and playing traditional handmade instruments. The two "capoeiristas" play a game together using capoeira movements, camouflaging self-defense kicks with playful acrobatics and dance-like moves spontaneously creating a strategy to fool the other player and perhaps work together to build a beautiful, harmonic and naturally flowing game. After School All Sorts of Sports Camp 

Whether your child is a beginner or a more advanced player, the drills taught at these clinics will help them fall in love with the sport. Our sport specific classes are the perfect place to learn about the game and fitness while having a blast and making new friends. This three week session will feature: proper conditioning and warm-ups, balance and coordination, build motor skills, confindence building, offense and defense skills, competitions and games, individual and team concepts, speed and agility.

TGA Premier Jr Golf

TGA believes that sports change lives, and we create programs that make sports available to everyone.  We use the game of golf as a method to develop your child's hand-eye coordination & improve motor skills. Our lesson plans incorporate etiquette, history, and STEAM.  Our enthusiastic instructors provide a proven curriculum filled with instruction, drills, and fun games, with a ratio of no more than 8 children per instructor.  Every student gets personal attention and skill specific instruction.  Everyone receives awards for personal achievement.  Classes grouped by age and ability. All equipment is provided and will be sanitized after each class.  Participants will be socially distant as it pertains to safety guidelines.  For more information visit or call (415) 599-9478. Parents' Night Out

Ages 2-10: 5:00-10:00pm

Drop off the kids and enjoy a night out! While you relax, the kids will be having fun with the Marinwood staff. Games, park time, arts & crafts, dinner and a movie at the end of the night! Your children will have a blast in our toy room, playing dodgeball or just hanging out with all their favorite counselors from summer. This popular program fills up every time...register early! $25 per child ($5 silbling discount).
