Night Camp: Parents' Night Out
Ages 3-10 

Marinwood's Night Camp gives parents the opportunity for a night out on the town or even just a well-deserved break. Children will spend the evening with their favorite camp cpunselors playing games such as dodgeball, crafting, running around the playground, and ending the night with a movie. A kid friendly dinner is included as well! Children should wear closed toe shoes, pack a jacket and may bring pajamas if desired.

American Red Cross Babysitter's Training
Ages 10-14
Babysitting is an important job. You need life and safety skills to take care of and protect children. In the American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training course, you will learn basic care giving, how to make good decisions, accident prevention and age appropriate play. The course is fun and fast-paced with hands-on activities, exciting video and lively discussions. You’ll learn to be the best babysitter on the block. Plus, you’ll gain the confidence to make smart decisions and stay safe in any babysitting situation. Impress parents by earning your Babysitter’s Training certificate! Please bring a pen/pencil, note paper, and snack to class. Course fee includes American Red Cross Babysitter’s handbook and certificate. 
Babysitter participants are required to have a personal email address (non-school) for certification. Please make sure your participant's account has their own personal email address or email Robyn with the address at rbruton@marinwood.org prior to the class date.

Intro to Irish Dance: Learn the basics of Irish Dance including drills, timing, and technique, as well as the reel and light jig.

The Healy School of Irish Dance was established in 1870.  The Healy School holds the record for the longest running Irish dance school in the world, with lessons taught by 4th generation ADCRG PattiAnn Ranum, and her daughter, 5th generation TCRG Alisa Belew.  The Healy School competes locally and at world level and teaches all levels from beginners through Championship.  Some of the highlights of the year besides competition are performing at the Giants Irish Heritage Nights, marching in the San Francisco St. Patrick's Day parade, and doing shows locally for the Marin Irish American Club, Marin County Fair, etc.   We look forward to welcoming you into our Healy family!

Enrichment Classes

Dungeons & Dragons 
Ages 4th-10th grade

This program is for all experience levels and is an excellent introduction to tabletop role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons. Explore ancient ruins, and discover strange magic and incredible creatures. Get the dice out for this pencil-and-paper, collaborative game of adventure and imagination. Participants take the initiative to direct the storytelling through the choices they make role-playing their characters. In each group, we create a unique story arc that follows our heroes as they become powerful forces of their realm.

PLEASE SIGN UP AS EARLY AS YOU CAN! The class will be cancelled unless we reach minimum participants a week before the session starts and the instructors need time to customize this program based on the age, experience, and preferences of the participants we are expecting. Thank you!

Earth Day Engineering using LEGO Materials
Ages 5-10

Celebrate nature, think sustainably and commemorate Earth Day with tens of thousands of LEGO parts in this workshop from Play-Well TEKnologies. Participants will learn about using the Earth's resources responsibly and how to power their LEGO creations using alternative energy sources, all with the guidance of an experienced and passionate PLay-Well instructor.

Tae Kwon Do

Both boys and girls are encouraged to experience this fun and confidence building program. This is a non-competitive curriculum. The instructor will announce belt testing dates and an optional TKD uniform may be purchased through the instructor. Students not purchasing a uniform should wear loose fitting clothing that they can move around in easily. Start building self-esteem and confidence today.

White Crane Silat Kuntao
Ages 9–15

White Crane Silat is a Chinese Indonesian martial art rooted in the kung fu diaspora. In this upbeat class, students train the PGB White Crane Silat curriculum for belt testing and rank progression while building focus, courage, and determination.
Through dynamic movement - forms, acrobatics, throws, animal skills, and obstacle-based games - students develop awareness, balance, coordination, and functional strength. Listening and active engagement are expected. Mid-session enrollment and drop-ins welcome! Drop-Ins: $24/class

Jr. Academy All Sports Camp - Spring Break Camp
Ages 4-6

Thos program gives children a fun, active and educational experience tailored to the abilities of their age group. Kids have a blast learning motor skills and coordination whule playing games with other children. Our program uses FUN to teach problem solving skills and the beginning fundamentals for sports including throwing, catching, kicking, and running. Games may include wiffleball, soccer, relay and obstacle races, and much more. Featuring structured, simple activities, individual and team-building challenges, and skill-based competitions to develop teamwork and engage young athletes.

Mindful Morning Masterpieces with Ms. Winter at Mary E. Silveira Elementary 
TK-5th grade

Start the day with calm creativity in this cross-grade, before-school art class. Students will explore a wide range of materials and express themselves in a relaxed, welcoming space filled with gentle music - an inspiring way to bgin the day with intention and mindfulness. $15 materials fee payable to instructor at start of session. Art & Soul Fridays with Ms. Winter at Mary E. Silveira Elementary 

Join Ms. Winter each Friday afternoon for hands-on, joy-filled artmaking! Artists will draw inspiration from famous artists and explore a variety of art mediums—from clay to printmaking—as they dive into projects that celebrate creativity, individuality, and self-expression. Each session is designed to spark imagination, build confidence, and give young artists the freedom to find their artistic voice and create their own unique masterpieces. $20 materials fee payable to instructor at start of session.

Let's take a deeper dive into the world of ceramic sculpture! Young artists will work a variety of clay bodies to create expressive sculptural pieces. They'll experiment with different studio tools, from our slab roller to our entry level pottery wheels, and visit the kiln room to see how their work comes to life. A thoughtful, skill-building expereince for artists ready to deepen their ceramic practice.

Colorful Creations with Ms. Paula at Lucas Valley Elementary

Please join Ms. Paula in the Art Studio to explore your artistic potential and to feel the way of the creative process! In this drawing, painting and printing class they will learn about Japanese Pop Art and have fun making creations and mess! Artists will also use their imagination and express themselves freely to create art, while using a variety of techniques and art materials. Please note that a minimum of 8 artists is required to hold a class, so please gather your friends and enroll today!

Claytime and Pottery Wheel with Ms. Paula at Lucas Valley Elementary

Creativity and imagination are all you need for this hands-on clay class. Artists will explore and express their ideas to develop their skills with hand-building, shaping and molding clay, as well as using the beginner’s pottery wheel. They will make cute bowls, small animal creatures, and other fun creations. Clay and material fee included in cost.

 In this class, the artists will learn different techniques and skills to help them exercise their creativity using air dry clay, model magic and oven bake clay. They will expand their imagination and explore the methods of coiling, slab building and relief work, molding and pinching. Enchanting 2-and-3-dimensional masterpieces will be coming home!

Middle School Clay and Pottery Workshop with Ms. Paula at Lucas Valley Elementary

This 2-session workshop will delve into different aspects of clay building, including hand forming, slab building and experimenting on the pottery wheels! Artists will have time to form their pieces then once the clay dries, paint them. All art and clay materials included in fee. Please wear clothes that can get messy and pack a snack and water bottle.

Get Crafty with Love: Valentine Art Workshop! With Ms. Paula at Lucas Valley Elementary

Artsy Food Truck Creations with Ms. Paula at Lucas Valley Elementary

Come and get saucy with our food truck model making class. The students get the opportunity to be entrepreneurs and design their own food truck. From branding to assembling, this is a wonderful way to encourage creativity and critical thinking combined. The students also learn how to create a logo with creative lettering and imagery. Lettering basics, such as bubble letters, block letters and “fancy” letters will be shown to make one-of-a-kind logos!
