Arts & Crafts Camps

Gisele Clark- Spark Creativity:

Art & Nature: Ages 5-10, Monday-Friday, 9am-12pm 

Appreciate the wonders of nature through the eyes of an artist. Seeing, sensing and creating with natural materials, artists will learn how nature inspires us to make art. Join me for an awesome week of exploring different materials both inside and outside. Camp will emphasize exploring the outdoors, learning new techniques, and capturing nature by encouraging personal expression and creativity. From printmaking and nature collages/sculptures to creating fairy houses and painting landscapes your young artist will delight in their unique creations. 

June 20-24

Location: Miller Creek Middle School

Teching the Modern Masters: Ages 5-10, Tuesday-Friday, 9am-12pm. 

This class will introduce young children to the modern masters with easy to prep and do art lessons. Each lesson is designed so that every child of any ability can master the art techniques demonstrated. Artists may include; Klimt Klee, Matisse, Monet, Picasso, Van Gough, etc. Let me take your child on a journey through art history's most noted works. Creating paintings, scultpures and prints, you will delight in the masterworks made by your child. From the Impressionists to the Cubists your young artist will be an art historian by the end of the week. 

July 5-8 (No camp Monday, 7/4)

Studio4Art Camps:

Clay, Ceramics + Pottery: Ages 6-10, Monday-Friday, 9am-12pm 

Each day will be filled with creative excitement dablling in lots and lots of clay. Students will learn the history and investigate contemporary strategies into today's art world, engaging in surface design, function versus non-function, craft versus art, and the relation of ceramics to science and environment. With a rich curriculum, this class allows for challenging and exciting exploration. Give your child the power of creativity, leadership critical thinking skills, and eye-hand coordination while they get messy with clay! 

July 11-15

Jewelry Making Camp: Ages 6-14, Monday- Friday, 9am-12pm 

Studio4Art's jewelry making camp will excite those that enjoy working with their hands and making art that you can wear. Age appropriate (working in groups by age) and challenging techniques will be taught for hand-made jewelry projects. Resin, paper beads, wool beads, wire wrapping, etching metal, and beading are incorprated into how to use jewelry tools and how to understand jewelry design. Daily walks will encourage campers to observe nature as an inspiration for their jewelry projects. 

July 18-22

Location: Miller Creek Middle School

 

Sewing Camps:

Sewing for All Levels: Ages 6-12, Monday-Friday, 9-1pm

Sewing is a skill that will last a lifetime! This camp is the perfect opportunity to learn a variety of hand sewing and machine skills by making wonderful projects. Beginning and experienced campers are able to attend and learn something new every time. At the end of the week, campers will leave with their own draw string bag, tote bag, Ipod holder, pillows, water bottle holder, scarf, pencil case and more. No experience needed. All materials included and we will serve healthy snacks. Please bring lunch daily.
